Front man and main songwriter of the Old 97’s, Rhett Miller will sing a special solo set. Miller’s tunes have been featured in multiple films and television shows. He will also add a bit of the Man in Black’s music to author Robert Hilburn’s session about his book Johnny Cash: The Life. Tickets for the concert are $25 for reserved seats and $20 for general admission at metrotix.com.

Distinguished art historian Mary Ann Caws speaks about The Modern Art Cookbook, which is packed with "anecdotes, paintings, photographs, poems, and, of course, recipes." After her talk, taste dishes such as Cezanne's baked tomatoes and Robert Motherwell's whiskey cake. Then, wander the galleries to see art, possibly inspired by the dish just tasted. Truly a full sensory experience!

Tales from the South

Jay Grelen, Sweet Tea Tales, and the winners of the writing contest read their winning stories for the internationally syndicated radio show. Tickets are $7.50 for admission, and must be purchased online at talesfromthesouth.com. Food and drinks must be purchased separately. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., dinner is served 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Live music by Kevin Kerby 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
