Philander Smith College and the Arkansas Literary Festival Host Tavis Smiley as Bless the Mic's 2012 finale Speaker

To close out the 2012 Bless the Mic speaker series, Dr. Walter Kimbrough, president of Philander Smith College, in conjunction with the Arkansas Literary Festival have scheduled television and radio commentator, author, and social activist, Tavis Smiley to speak on campus, Thursday, April 19.

The 2012 Arkansas Literary Festival to be held on the Central Arkansas Library System's Main campus and in multiple downtown Little Rock venues. The ninth annual festival is guaranteed to be a stimulating mix of authors, panels, special events, performances, workshops and more.

The detailed schedule will be posted in Mid March, so check back with us then, and mark your calendars for April 12-15, 2012.
