Marco Roth is a founding co-editor of n+1 magazine, a journal of politics, literature, and culture. His essays on "The Rise of the Neuronovel" and other contemporary literary phenomena have appeared in its pages. His first book, a memoir of AIDS and other unforeseen transmissions amid the vanished liberal culture of Manhattan's Upper West Side, is called The Scientists, and will be published in September 2012.
